IRCTC unveils South India tour package

New Delhi, May 10: In a good news for travelers, Indian Railway Catering and Tourism(IRCTC) has announced a nine-day South India tour titled 'Enjoy Kerala with Mysore and Ooty' covering many tourist spots.

The tour begins at 12 a.m. on May 27, at Secunderabad railway station and concludes on June 5. The tourist train will have 12 sleepers, three AC 3-tier and a pantry car and will halt at Warangal, Khammam, Vijayawada, Ongole, Nellore and Renigunta, said IRCTC Joint General Manager N. Sanjeevaiah.

Tourists can visit Mysore Palace, Brindavan Gardens, KRS Dam, Ooty Lake, Botanical Garden, Guruvayur Sri Krishna temple, Cochin Fort, Chinese Gishing net, Jew Synagogue, Nagarcoil Nagaraja temple, Kanyakumari Amman temple, Gandhi Memorial, Sri Padmanabha Swamy temple and Lord Venkateswara Swamy temple, Tirumala.

IRCTC Vijayawada Manager K. Madhusudhana Rao, said the tariff is Rs. 12,705 for sleeper class and Rs. 14,595 for AC 3-tier. IRCTC will provide non-AC dormitories on multi-sharing basis, breakfast, lunch and dinner and one litre water per day.
