Bomb hoax at residence of  Rajinikanth

Chennai, May 06: In a shocking incident, A man on Saturday called up the police control room and threatened to plant bombs at the residences of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister K Palaniswami and actor Rajinikanth, police officials Said.

According to the details, The city police control room received a phone call around 6.30 pm, saying that a bomb had been kept at the Greenways Road residence of the Chief Minister.

From this perspective, Immediately, sniffer dog squads were pressed into service and police personnel also made a thorough check. Later, the threat was found to be a hoax. A complaint was filed with Abhiramapuram Police Station.

Chennai Police Commissioner AK Viswanathan, on speaking media, said that the call was traced by the police and was made from Cuddalore, after which Bhuvaneswaran was arrested.

"Recently, the same person had called the office of the Puducherry Chief Minister as well warning of bombs," Mr Viswanathan told to media.
