Hyderabad City Police launches E-Office

Hyderabad, May 02: Hyderabad City Police on Tuesday went paperless adopting E-Office, a computer software application developed by the National Informatics Centre (NIC), Hyderabad.

The new process involves all stages, including the diarisation of inward receipts, the creation of files, movement of receipts and files and finally, the archival of records.

Hyderabad Police Commissioner Anjani Kumar said the movement of receipts and files become seamless and there was more transparency in the system since each action taken on a file was recorded electronically through digital signature responses. "This simplifies decision making as all the required information is available at a single point," he said.

Hyderabad City Police in collaboration with the NIC and the IT & Communications Department, the E-Office is being currently installed at the Hyderabad Police Commissionerate Office. It will be extended to the entire Hyderabad City Police offices and units in the next phase.

The Commissioner felicitated Dr A Ram Mohan Rao, Dr YS Murthy, V Nagamani of the NIC, Hyderabad, and M Rushitha, S Venkat Ramana Goud and their team from the IT & Communications Department.
