KCR wishes Muslims on the occasion of Milad un Nabi

Hyderabad, December 12 : Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao has conveyed his greetings to all the Muslim brothers on the propitious occasion of 'Milad-Un-Nabi'.

In a mesaage he said, "The civilization of Universal brotherhood, love and compassion and Righteous living taught by Prophet Mohammed are relevant throughout the ages and more so in today's world".

Milad-un-Nabi is commonly known in Muslim culture and it is celebrated in most of the Muslim countries and in India as well. The day is celebrated to commemorate the birth of the Prophet Mohammad.

There is an atmosphere of graciousness and people can be seen exchanging gifts and distributing food to the poor. The day is celebrated with the offering of prayers by thousands in mosques and the mosques being decorated with lights. This is a public holiday in most of the Muslim countries.
