Regional parties Plays crucial role in 2019 elections: KCR

Chennai, May 01: As we knew that, Chief Minister K Chandra Shekhar Rao has met DMK's Rajya Sabha member MK Kanimozhi ahead of the federal front which is leading by CM KCR.

On this occasion, the CM KCR said that the 2019 elections to Parliament will see regional parties make gains and winning more seats between them than either the Bharatiya Janata Party or the Congress.

At Monday's meeting with Kanimozhi, Chandrashekhar Rao said for the federal spirit of the country to flourish, regional parties should be strong. He also said that after the 2019 elections, the regional parties will see an increase in their strength in Parliament and hoped that they will play a crucial and key role in national political scenario.

Chandrashekhar Rao was in Chennai on a two-day visit that he wound up on Monday afternoon and returned to Hyderabad.

The Chief Minister and TRS party president, during his visit, met DMK president M Karunanidhi to discuss the plans for strengthening the voice of States at the national level by bringing together different political parties and bring about a qualitative change in Indian politics. The DMK working president, MK Stalin, later met KCR and discussed this issue in detail.
