Minister KTR, MP Kavitha inagurates double bedroom scheme

Jagitial, Apr 25: Telangana Niniater for Information Technology and Municipal Administration K. Taraka Rama Rao along with Nizamabad MP Kavitha participated in a whirl-wind tour in Jagtial district on Tuesday.

They participated in the laying of foundation stone for the construction of 4,160 double bedroom houses under G plus 2 scheme at a cost of Rs. 220 crore in Nookapalli village.

They laid foundation stone for the development projects valued at Rs. 50 crore in the town, construction of bridge across the Godavari at Vattivagu in Metpally mandal at a cost of Rs. 5.83 crore, and unveiled the statue of Telangana Thalli in Mothe village.

The Minister said the housing scheme in Nookapalli was the biggest one after the Hyderabad city project. He said the government was constructing 3 lakh double bedroom houses in the State at a cost of Rs. 18,000 crore which was the highest in the country.

The Nizamabad MP said it was historic day in the newly formed Jagtial district with the taking up of various developmental projects. She said she was planning to adopt the Nookapalli housing scheme and assured them of striving for development of Jagtial Fort to encourage tourism. Chief Whip Koppula Eshwar suggested that the Nookapalli housing be named as KCR Colony.

Jagtial legislator T. Jeevan Reddy thanked the government for sanctioning Nookapalli housing scheme.
