YSRCP MLA Roja slams CM Naidu over Special Category Status

Vijayawada, Apr 11: AP Opposition YSR Congress Party firebrand leader MLA RK Roja alleged that Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu was diverting the people's attention on special status by making false allegations against YSR Congress MPs who sat on indefinite hunger strike in New Delhi.

When the entire Telugu people were praising YSR Congress Party MPs for their un-relented struggle for special status, the TDP leaders and Chandrababu resorted to mudslinging on the opposition MPs, Roja said and wondered why the TDP was demanding the resignation of Rajya Sabha MPs. Roja asked the ruling party Lok Sabha MPs to quit their posts first on the lines of YSR Congress MPs sacrificed their posts to the cause of Andhra Pradesh people.

The TDP leaders have no moral right to criticise YSR Congress party and its leaders as the ruling party was exposed for maintaining secret relations with BJP even after the TDP pulled out of the NDA. The YSR Congress should not have been fighting for special status for the last four years if it maintained secret relations with the ruling BJP at the center, the Nagari MLA pointed out.

Roja Said it was the only YSR Congress which moved no-confidence motion against the centre for 13 times in the country.

In a scathing attack, she said Chandrababu government also suppressed YSR Congress struggle for special status by foisting cases against the leaders including those who joined Rail Roko on Wednesday in Andhra Pradesh.
