CM KCR assures farmers, seeks Reports on crop loss by Rainfall

Hyderabad, Apr 03: The Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao on Monday sought assessment reports from officials on the damage caused to crops in different districts following widespread rain, thunder and hailstorms.

He said officials should prepare reports of such damage over the past 15 days and should also prepare reports on crop damage potential due to such natural events in the coming days.

The Chief Minister said:"Since the government is ready to give input subsidy to farmers who suffered losses, reports should be prepared and sent to the government forthwith," a release from the Chief Minister’s Office on Monday said.

Chandrashekhar Rao also spoke to Chief Secretary SK Joshi on the untimely rains. Following this conversation, Joshi spoke to all the district collectors over the phone and asked them to prepare reports on crop losses. He directed that official teams immediately start their visits to the affected areas to assess the damage.
