CBSE Class 12 re-exam on April 25

New Delhi, Mar 30: Amid outrage over leak of CBSE question papers, the government on Friday said re-examination of Class 10 maths paper will be held only in Delhi, NCR and Haryana, "if at all", while fresh Class 12 examination for economics students will be conducted on April 25.

The HRD Ministry today announced April 25 as the date of re-examination for Class 12 Economics paper.

Addressing mediapersons at a press conference, education secretary Anil Swarup said the board will take a call in the next 15 days if there was a need to conduct retest for Class 10 Maths exam.

Preliminary enquiry has revealed the Class 10 paper leak occurred in Haryana and Delhi, which is why re-exam will be held only in these two regions.

The CBSE has clarified that the Class X All India result would be announced on the same date as scheduled, except in Delhi and Haryana. The results in these two centres will be delayed.
