Madhuri Dixit to replace late actress Sridevi

New Delhi, Mar 11: Actress Sridevi, who passed away in Dubai on February 24, 2018, due to accidental drowning, was pretty excited to be a part of Karan Johar's 'Shiddat'. Her sudden death not only shocked Bollywood but also saddened her fans who were waiting to see her on the silver screen again.

Buzz was that after Sridevi's sudden and untimely death, Karan had decided to shelve the project. But looks like the filmmaker has found another veteran actress to replace Sridevi. Yes, you read that right.

According to a report, "Madhuri Dixit-Nene has been roped to play Sridevi's character in this cross-border period drama.

The film features a stellar ensemble cast of Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt, Sanjay Dutt, Sonakshi Sinha and Aditya Roy Kapur. The film will be directed by Abhishek Varman of '2 States' fame and it also marks the fourth collaboration of Varun and Johar after 'Student of the Year', 'Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania' and 'Badrinath Ki Dulhania
