New Intiatve by Indian Railways

Mumbai Mar 10: In a Move to ensure women travel freely in the Trains. Indian Railways has introduced the Sanitary Napkin Vending Machine in the Rajadhani Express.Western Railway has taken this initiative on the occasion of the International Women's day.

Western Railways Chief Spokesperson Ravinder Bhakar told that " The train became the first in the country with such a machine.It is useful for women passengers in long-distance train journeys. We will extend this plan in other trains as well and the Sanitary pads would be costing Rs 5 and It would be very useful for the women."

Women have hailed this move and they said that this would ensure that they would have comfortable travel and demanded to expand the facilities to other trains too.
