Indian Railways: Write RRB exam, gets fee refund

New Delhi, March 02: The Indian Railways, which is on a mega recruitment drive to fill over 89,000 posts, has come up with an incentive to attract applicants who are "not serious" and don't turn up for exams.

A big portion of the exam fee will be returned when an applicant appears for the exam.

While the exam fee is pegged high Rs. 500 for general and Rs. 250 for SC/ST candidates Rs. 400 will be returned to the candidate who appears for the exam in the first category, and the entire sum for the second category.

This is apart from relaxation in eligibility criteria such as in educational qualifications and age.

The Railways has also decided to conduct the recruitment exam, computer-based tests without any interview, in 15 languages, including Kannada, Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu, besides English and Hindi.

Candidates can sign in any language, which negates the earlier stipulation of signing only in Hindi or English.
