Anil Kapoor thanks Mumbai police

Mumbai, March 02: Bollywood actor Anil Kapoor, who was also the brother-in-law of late Sridevi, has put out a social media post thanking family, friends and Mumbai Police for being supportive in their tough times.

The actress died of 'accidental drowning' in the bathtub of her hotel room in the Jumeirah Emirates Tower Hotel in Dubai.

She had accompanied her husband Boney Kapoor and younger daughter Khushi to the United Arab Emirates City to attend nephew Mohit Marwah's wedding.

Anil took to Twitter and thanked his friends and well-wishers for letting the family grieve in peace. "As we mourn, Im deeply thankful to our friends and well-wishers who have formed a protective circle around us so we can grieve in peace..."

"I would specially like to thank the Mumbai Police for being by our side through it all and making sure we got the space and privacy we needed, to do what was necessary. Thank you for your prayers and understanding," he added.
