KCR condoles death of Sri Jayendra Saraswathi Swamy

Hyderabad Feb 28: Sri Jayendra Saraswathi Swamy, the senior seer of Kancheepuram Sankara Mutt, passed away on Wednesday.He has died due to illness.Earlier he was admitted in hospital because of breathing problems.

Telangana CM KCR has also expressed his condolences about the death of pitadipathi and has praised the great services rendered by Jayendra Saraswati for the development of Kanchi Peetham.

The CM had further ordered the Commissioner of Endowments department to depute a senior officer from the department to represent the Telangana Government on his behalf at the last rites of Jayendra Saraswati.

Jayendra Saraswathi was head of the Kanchi Mutt or Hindu monastery established by Adi Shankaracharya in the 8th century and had a huge following in South India.
