CM KCR announced RS 50 cr for Basara Temple

Adilabad Feb 28: Telangana CM KCR on Tuesday has visited the Adilabad district for the first time after coming to power in the 2014 elections. The CM has announced a bouquet of developmental programmes and welfare initiatives for the district including construction of multiple medium irrigation projects.

The CM has addressed the DIET and said that "government would take up construction of Kupti irrigation project at a cost of Rs 880 crore, besides Pippalkot and Gomukhi projects costing Rs 330 crore and Rs 210 crore respectively."

KCR had also announced "approval of funds worth Rs 218 crore for taking up developmental works including urban and rural infrastructure and for the welfare of tribals, weaker sections, and minority communities."

The Chief Minister also assured that "he would take up the issue of constructing a mini airport in Adilabad in the existing 375 acres of land." The Chief Minister has also announced "a grant of Rs 50 crore for developing the ancient Sri Gnana Saraswati Devasthanam of Basar."
