Railways kick starts massive recruitment drive

Hyderabad Feb 26: In a major recruitment drive Indian Railways has started the process of hiring nearly 90,000 people . Railways has already issued notifications for various posts. People would also be hired for posts such as assistant loco pilots, technicians, Gangmen, switchmen, trackmen, cabinmen, welders, helpers, and porters.

The Railways would soon recruit 1.2 Lakh people in positions related to the safety positions in upcoming months and the railways has already initiated the process of recruitment. Recently Railway Minister Piyush Goyal has announced that railways would focus more on Safety.The railways has issued notifications for the hiring of around 63,000 jobs in group D category that includes Gangmen, Trackmen.

The Railways has recently relaxed the eligibility for 63,000 Group D posts such as only class X as the qualification so that more people can apply for the exam .The railways had also relaxed the age criteria by extending it by two years across all categories.

Finally many people have expressed happiness for massive recruitment drive as it was long overdue.
