TRS to bag all 3 Rajyasabha seats

Hyderabad Feb 24: The Election Commission on Friday has announced the schedule for elections of 59 seats of Rajya Sabha. The Elections would be held on March 23.The vacancies are caused because of the retirement of following members.

The union ministers found retire include Union Ministers Arun Jaitley, Ravishankar Prasad, Prakash Javadekar, Dharmendra Pradhan, J P Nadda, Thawarchand Gehlot, Mansukh Mandaviya, Parshottam Rupala and Ramdas Athawale.

Poll nomination window opens on March 5, closes on March 12. Last date for withdrawal of candidature March 15.

However, 2 seats are felling vacant in Telangana. The following members from Telangana are retiring CM Ramesh (TDP MP), Anand Bhaskar Rapolu (Congress) and Election would be held for the vacant seat caused by the death of Palvai Govardhan Reddy

Currently, TRS Government is all set to bag the 3 seats. Presently the In 120-member state Assembly, TRS has 89 members. Congress present strength in the House is 13, MIM has 7 members, BJP has 5 MLAs, TDP has 2 MLAs whereas CPM has 1 member. With this strength, TRS can easily bag all the three seats.
