SC dismisses Petetion against Kaleshwaram project

Hyderabad Feb 23: In a Major relief for Telangana Govt the Supreme Court on Friday had dismissed a petition filed against Kaleswaram irrigation project.Earlier a petition was filed in the Apex court citing the environmental clearances granted to the project.

The petitioner said that " the tunnel and pump house works of the project were carried out without environment clearance. He also questioned the clearances given at a later date."

Telangana State Irrigation Minister Harish Rao was also present in the Supreme Court during the hearing the petition.

However, the apex court had dismissed the petition and has scolded the petitioner and urged him to not to come up with such petitioners.
