Canadian PM meets Punjab CM

Lucknow Feb 21: Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and his Defence Minister Harjit Sajjan on Wednesday have Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh.

The Congress leader had earlier said that he would not meet The Canadian PM as he claimed that the Prime Minister's cabinet members supported the formation of Khalistan, a separate Sikh state movement.

Punjab CM had earlier called the Canadian MP a 'Khalistani sympathizer.The meeting assumes significance because of the change in the stance taken by Punjab CM.

Sources said that the Amarinder Singh has met the Canada PM after he had changed his stand and said that we are for United India.

The leader would Meet PM Modi on February 23 and would be held bilateral discussions.
