SC To hear plea on SIT Investigation in PNB Scam on Friday

New Delhi Feb 20: A Bigger scam has been identified in recent days and the Massive default of loan of Rs 11400 Cr by Jeweler Nirav Modi to Punjab National bank has shaken the nation. Currently, many agencies are investigating the case.
The Supreme Court on Tuesday has agreed to hear on Friday a plea seeking a SIT probe and other reliefs in the over Rs 11,000 crore PNB fraud. Earlier Two petitions were filed in the cases seeking a transparent probe in this matter.
The Court has posted the matter for hearing on February 23. The petitioner has also sought a probe into the role of the top management of the Punjab National Bank(PNB) and said that the investigation must be carried out by an agency "being controlled by the political leaders/authorities".
