AP CM Naidu response on Centre Rejecting Kapu Bill

Vijayawada, Feb 16: As we knew that, the Union Government has rejected the Bill on Kapu Reservations passed by AP Assembly.

After Centre had rejected the Kapu Reservation Bill - passed by AP state government - citing that it crossed the 50 percent benchmark violating the Supreme Court's guidelines on reservations, CM Chandrababu Naidu has responded on the crucial issue.

Speaking at the TDP Coordination Committee meeting yesterday where Naidu had spoken to his party leaders across various districts via teleconference, Chandrababu Naidu said that there's no need to worry about the Centre turning down the Kapu Reservation Bill that was passed by AP state Assembly in Dec 2017.

Chandrababu stated that the officials from AP BC Welfare department would give a proper response to the Central government and clarify all their doubts. Naidu said that the state government has requested the Union Government to table the Kapu Reservation Bill in the Schedule-9 that is expected to clear its legal hurdles.
