Priyanka Chopra Seeks Legal Opinion On Exiting Deal With Nirav Modi

Mumbai, Feb 16: Bollywood Beauty Priyanka Chopra, the global brand ambassador for Nirav Modi, is seeking legal opinion to terminate her contract now that the jeweller has been accused of committing a major banking fraud, her spokesperson said on Thursday.'

"There are speculative reports that Priyanka Chopra has sued Nirav Modi. This is not true. However, she is currently seeking legal opinion with respect to terminating her contract with the brand in light of allegations of financial fraud against Nirav Modi," spokesperson added.

In 2017, Priyanka Chopra came on board as the global ambassador for a diamond campaign with Sidharth Malhotra. More trouble seems to be headed Modi’s way with reports of Priyanka Chopra seeking to sue him for non-payment of dues and detaching herself from the brand. Sources suggest that she had severed ties with Modi over the defrauding.

Ms Chopra, who scored Hollywood success with her hit series Quantico, has been associated with the luxury diamond jewellery brand as its brand ambassador since January 2017.
