APCC calls Chalo Parliament on March 6

Vijayawada, Feb 11: The Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) has given a call for 'Chalo Parliament' from March 6 to 8 as part of its agitations to exert pressure on the Centre to fulfill the assurances of 2014 State Reorganisation Act.

Informing this at a press conference here on Saturday, ACC President N Raghuveera Reddy said that the Congress activists would lay siege Parliament on the three days. He called upon the other political parties to join the Congress in the agitation. Mr Reddy said that the Congress would organise a protest dharna at all Mandal Headquarters in the state on February 15.

The APCC President informed that the Congress would organise "Andhrula Atma Gourava Deeksha" (Self-Respect of Andhra people) dharnas at all Revenue Divisional Offices in the state from February 20 to 28.

Meanwhile, the APCC President visited the relay indefinite fast camp of AP Journalists Federation. The Journalists are observing relay hunger strike demanding the Centre to fulfill the Reorganization Act 2014 assurances. He expressed solidarity to the agitating Journalists.
