Lok Sabha adjourned till March 5

New Delhi, Feb 09: The proceedings in both the houses of the Parliament on Friday was repeatedly abrupted, mainly because of the protest staged by the TDP members over their demand of special status to Andhra.

The Lok Sabha was adjourned minutes after it was convened today after protests from TDP members over the issue of budgetary allocation for Andhra Pradesh.


The Lok Sabha witnessed ruckus by opposition leaders who did not allow finance minister Arun Jaitley to conclude his reply.

Speaker Sumitra Mahajan straightway took up the Question House as the proceedings commenced. Soon members of the TDP crowded the Well raising slogans.

On Thursday, both the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha discussed Union budget 2018-19 with the Opposition targeting the government over agrarian crisis, unemployment and other issues.

Finally the loksabha was adjourned till March 5 where the second part of budget session would commence.
