Piyush Goyal: Decision regarding railway zone would be taken after consulting with States

New Delhi Feb 6: Union Railway Minister Piyush Goyal on Tuesday in Rajya Sabha has responded to the protest made by Telugu Desam party MPs in Rajya Sabha.He has reacted to the announcement of Railway zone as mentioned in the Ap Reorganization Act.

Piyush Goyal has said that "AP Reorganization Act talks about examining the Feasibility of railway zone in Andhra Pradesh.Changing the zone and contours of any zone involves consultation with a lot of other states ."

He said that "after we finish the consultation with all the states and find a viable method by which there is no dispute, after all, we have to take care of all the states in the country ."

Goyal has added that "this should have been done by earlier government before deciding and writing all these in the package if they have done that at that time things would have become
Much smoother."

He added that "we are now taking it upon ourselves to discuss with the states and try to find out an amicable solution it is still under examination".
