Madrasa teacher held for sexually assaulting minor boy

Kashmir, Feb 04: In a shocking incident, A madrasa teacher was arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting a minor boy in north Kashmir district of Baramulla, official sources said here on Sunday evening.

They said Kreeri police station received a written complaint on January 28 that a student was sexually assaulted by a teacher at Darulaloom in Baramulla.

"In his complaint, the boy alleged that the teacher, Mufti Hilal Ahmad, called him in his room after morning prayers and sexually assaulted him while the rest of the students were at mosque on January 20," they said.

Police registered a case, conducted medical formalities and recorded statements of witnesses. "The accused was later taken into custody," they added.
