Amit Shah :BJP to contest Solo in Telangana

NewDelhi Feb 3: Bharatiya Janata Party on Friday has decided to contest alone in Telangana and has ruled out any pre-poll alliance. The Decision in this regard was made by BJP president Amit Shah.He has said that "the party will contest all the 119 assembly and 17 Lok Sabha constituencies in Telangana without entering into an alliance with any party."

He has also said that "BJP's position in Telangana was better than the main opposition Congress party." He added that "BJP has strong chances of winning the ensuing elections in the State and asked them to intensify their efforts."

However Some State BJP leaders have complained that "they were fighting against the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) government, some Union Ministers have been repeatedly and openly praising the State government schemes."

BJP leaders Bandaru Dattatreya, G Kishan Reddy, Ch Ramchandra Reddy, Srinivas, and Chandrashekhar met Amit Shah and briefed him on the latest political situation in the State.

This decision assumes significance because earlier there were reports that BJP would form an alliance with TRS because recently the ruling party in Telangana has supported many central government decisions such as demonetization, GST, and other schemes and helped in the passage of crucial bills.
