Kamal Haasan: Iam not anti-Hindu; Few people trying to damage image

Chennai, Feb 02: After kamal Haasan's controversial remarks on Hindu extremisim on Novemeber 2 last year, the actor said that he is not anti-Hindu and said some people are trying to damage his image.

The actor is soon going to launch his political party and this time he took a potshot at what he called as 'Hindu extremism'.

He said "Some are making efforts to create an appearance as if I am against some and favourably disposed towards others. Some are saying I am anti-Hindu," he said, writing in his political column in Tamil weekly "Ananda Vikatan."

On Hindu extremism, Haasan had said "earlier such Hindu right wingers without indulging in violence with those belonging to other religions, made the latter to indulge in violence through their arguments and counter arguments."

However, "since this old conspiracy began to fail," the right wingers have also begun to take recourse to violence in case their strategy did not work, Haasan had remarked.
