Safety of LPG Pipeline

Vijayawada, Dec 3 : On Friday in Krishna district G.Konduru, Representatives of the GAIL Limited conducted a workshop on 'LPG pipeline safety and security' high lighting the need for coordination among various departments.

Krishna District collector Babu A, who attended the workshop, call up on GAIL to publicise largely about the need of safety and security of the pipeline running through the district in the interest of the public safety.

Collector said the pipeline is extending between Secunderabad and Visakhapatnam will pass through around 60 villages of 11 mandals in the districts. He also said officials of all the departments should work together to ensure its safety.

The representatives of various departments like Revenue, National Disaster Response Force, AP Transco, IOCL, BPCL, RGTIL, Irrigation, Police, Fire are discussed about different issues related to the laying of the pipeline and the safety of the people in that area.

Representatives of the GAIL said the laying of the pipeline and HT lines in close proximity is too dangerous they should be of 50 metres in distance.
