ED files second chargesheet against Misa Bharati

New Delhi Jan 6: The Trouble for RJD Cheif Lalu Prasad Yadav family has increased as the ED has filed a second charge sheet against Misa Bharti Lalu daughter in a money laundering case. The agency had filed its first charge sheet on December 23 last year.

Earlier the money laundering probe agency had attached a Delhi farmhouse in connection with its probe against Bharti and her husband, Shailesh Kumar. The farmhouse, located at 26, Palam Farms in south Delhi's Bijwasan area was attached provisionally under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA).

ED had also conducted raids at this location and few others in July 2017 as part of its probe against two brothers, Surendra Kumar Jain and Virendra Jain, and others who have been alleged to have laundered several crore rupees using shell companies and they were arrested by the agency.

Meanwhile, the RJD Cheif Lalu's quantum of punishment would be announced in Fodder scam as he was convicted by the CBI court.
