CM KCR to give Special increment for Electrical Staff

Hyderabad, Jan 02: The employees of power utilities in Telangana state will get a special increment for putting in place round-the-clock free power supply to the farm sector three months ahead of schedule. The increment would be given to the staff of all the power utilities, the two Discoms -- TSTransco and TSGenco from January itself.

Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, who was happy to commission the new facility for farmers, which was his dream for the last three years and rewarded the staff for making it come true.

"Telangana is the first state in the country to commission 24-hour-power supply to farm sector free of cost since December 31 midnight," the Chief Minister said.

On the occasion of the launching of the scheme, the Chief Minister held a meeting with top officials of Energy department at Pragathi Bhavan here where he described a wonderful development supplying power round-the-clock to agriculture sector in the youngest state of Telangana, which is just 3-and-a-half-year old.

He said that the gigantic task of supplying the 24-hour power supply to all the sectors in the state is made possible due to the employees of the Electricity organizations who pulled the state from power deficit to power sufficient.

Congratulating all the concerned, the Chief Minister said a special increment will be given to the electricity employees from January 1 this year. Telangana Genco and Transco Chairman and Managing Director D Prabhakar Rao thanked the Chief Minister for announcing special increment to the electricity employees.
