Hyderabad School Parents Association staged dharna against Fee Regulation

Hyderabad, Dec 31: The Hyderabad School Parents Association (HSPA) has staged a dharna at the School Education Directorate here on Saturday to protest against Prof Tirupathi Rao Committee report on fee regulation in private schools.

The HSPA leaders met Prof Tirupati Rao at Osmania University. He promised to meet the association leaders on Monday, according to HSPA leaders.

The HSPA described the reported submitted by Prof Tirupati Rao Committee had left the parents stunned. The Committee report had been written in support of the contention made by the management of private schools, it alleged.

A member of HSPA Ashish Naredi told media that the constitution of Prof Tirupati Rao Committee had raised expectations that better days were ahead. But the report turned out to be a damp squib. The parents were critical of the report which recommended 10 percent hike in school fee every year.
