Vice President to inaugurate Vijayawada Book Festival on Jan 1

Vijayawada, Dec 30: The Indian Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu along with Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu will inaugurate the 29th Vijayawada Book Festival at PWD grounds on January 1, 2018, Vijayawada Book Festival Society Secretary K Lakshmiah said in a statement here on Saturday.
Meanwhile, official sources said the Vice-president would arrive at Gannavaram Airport at around 9 pm on December 30 and stay in the Swarna Bharathi trust, located at Atkur village, near here, where he would participate in various programmes on December 31.
On January 1, Mr Naidu would inaugurate the Book Festival and address the seminar, to be held in the Tummalapalli auditorium. Later he would leave for Delhi from Gannavaram Airport, the sources said.
