Online sex racket busted in AP

Guntur, Dec 24: The Police have arrested a group involving pimps and agents running the online sex racket in Guntur district here on Saturday.

Guntur East DSP Srinivasulu said S Venkata Siva Prasad alias Balaji hailed from Visakhapatnam district created a website and appointed agents in Tirupati, Vizag, Guntur, and Nellore to lure customers through online booking.

The accused Annapareddy Venkateswarlu and his wife Padma were running a brothel house in street number 6 in Rajiv Nagar in Guntur. B Saroja was running another brother in Tirupati. Balaji monitored the appointment of customers and the agents escorted them to the brothels.

Police said on a tip-off, the special teams arrested customer Sai Prasad and two agents in Guntur. Three call girls caught in the raids were sent to rehabilitation centers.

In simultaneous raids, police arrested the agents Annapareddy and Saroja. The DSP said the agents involved in Nellore district will be arrested soon.
