CBI court convicts RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav in Fodder scam

New Delhi, December 23: Here is the Sensational News that, RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav has been convicted by the special CBI court in the Deoghar leg of the fodder scam case here on today.

Lalu pertaining to fraudulent withdrawal of more than Rs 89 lakh from Deoghar Treasury between 1991 and 1994.

Expressing hope for a fair judgment in multi-crore fodder scam case, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) supremo Lalu Yadav today said he is innocent and that he has "full faith in judiciary".

Jagannath Mishra's lawyer told media that all those convicted will be sent to jail.



Apart from Lalu, former CM Jagannath Mishra and 20 others were also facing judgment in the court of special CBI judge Shivpal Singh.

Lalu has already been convicted in the Chaibasa treasury case and is out on bail. A chargesheet was filed against 38 persons on October 27, 1997. While 11 of them died, three turned approvers and two others were convicted in 2006-07.
