KCR announces Jerusalem subsidy for Christians

Hyderabad Dec 23: Telangana CM on Friday had attended the official Christmas celebrations held at Nizam Grounds in the Hyderabad. Speaking at the Occasion CM KCR had greeted the Christian community and wished them in Advance.

Later he had announced the steps taken by the government for the welfare of the Christians in the state and said that "TS Government would grant subsidy for Christians in the state to undertake a pilgrimage to Jerusalem."

He added that " the government is planning to introduce a budget for Jerusalem pilgrimage and would allocate Rs 10 crore from the budget for repairs of old churches and construction of new churches."

CM KCR has said that "Telangana is the first state which officially celebrates Bonalu, Bathukamma, Ramzan, Christmas and all communities such as Hindus, Muslims, Christians live peacefully here".

Finally, he assured that the construction of Christian Bhavan would be completed by next Christmas.
