JDU MP Veerendra Kumar resigned from Rajyasabha

New Delhi, Dec 20: In yet another embarrassment for Janata Dal-United its MP Veerendra Kumar today resigned from the RajyaSabha .He has said that he has sent a resignation letter to the upper house chairman M venkiah Naidu.

The leader added that "Legally, I'm in Rajya Sabha as a member of Nitish Kumar's party. I don't agree with his stand dumping the 'Mahagathbandhan' and aligning with the Sangh Parivar and the BJP"

He had added that "The Gujarat election results were not a victory for Modi but, if anything, it suggests otherwise."

Earlier other rebellion JDU leaders Sharad Yadav and Anwar Ali were disqualified by the chairman after JDU members urged the chairman to disqualify them under the anti-defection law.

Earlier the Bihar CM Nitish Kumar has decided to break the partnership with RJD and later decided to join NDA.
