TDP leaders fearing at the growth of BJP in AP: MLC Somu Veerraju

Vijayawada, Dec 19: The BJP National Executive Member and MLC Somu Veerraju said on Tuesday that if the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) did not want an alliance with the BJP, its President and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu should announce it in public.

Mr. Veerraju alleged that the TDP leaders were fearing at the growth of BJP in the state.

Addressing a press conference here on Tuesday, he said that the TDP leaders were making comments humiliating the BJP leaders. Reports appear on the next day that Mr. Naidu asked the leaders to maintain restraint.

"When I responded to their comments, the TDP leaders were asking about my status in the BJP. But I do not want to make comment on their remarks" he said.
