Rs.1 Crore worth red sander logs seized in Kadapa

Kadapa, Dec 18: The Police and forest officials have seized 95 red sander logs, worth Rs.1 crore in the international market, from Kanamalapalle village of the district on Sunday.

While addressing a press conference here, Kadapa Forest Range Officer Ratna Ravi said the police and forest personnel noticed an oil tanker stationed at Kanamalapalle village in Siddavaram mandal.

On seeing the officials, the red sander smugglers fled the scene.

When the officials inspected the tanker, they found two laborers loading red sanders inside the oil tanker.

The police and forest personnel launched a massive combing in the area and arrested five laborers.
