AP CM urges PM Modi to hold CMs Meet over Polavaram Project row

Vijayawada, Dec 13: As we know that, The construction of the national project Polavaram has turned into a big interstate dispute.

The Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has demanded Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday to hold a meeting with the Chief Ministers of states which raised serious objections on the project.

Orissa government shot off a letter to centre to stall the project until its grievances are addressed. Chattisgarh and Telangana governments also raised serious objections.

CMO officials brought to the notice of Chandrababu the issue of a petition filed by Orissa government in Supreme Court against the project.

The CM asserted the need to hold a meeting with the affected states by Prime Minister.Chandrababu maintained he already spoke to Orissa and Chhattisgarh CMs on the issue.
