Aircraft type bio vacuum toilets on Indian Railways

New Delhi, December 10: Here is the Good news for the Indian citizens as the Toilets in railway coaches will no longer be stinky or blocked, for Indian Railways intends to roll out 100 coaches with imported bio-vacuum toilets—that are on par with ones in aeroplanes—by January 2018!

Ahead of New Year, Indian Railways has chalked down better plans for passengers and aims to take the passenger travel experience a notch above with bio-vacuum toilets that do not just cut down on water consumption but also have lesser chances of being blocked, owing to dumped waste.

The first 100 coaches with the new toilets will be attached to important trains like Rajdhani and Shatabdi and would be rolled out from January 2018.
