Aadhar -PAN-Bank Account-DBT linkage  deadline DEC 31

New Delhi Dec 3: Nowadays Aadhar has been mandatory for most of the services and the government has issued various deadlines to link Aadhar with various services and schemes. The deadlines are as follows

Aadhaar and PAN linking deadline - Dec 31 ,2017

Earlier the government in its budget has made mandatory to link Aadhar to PAN card and the deadline was July 1, but later it is been extended to Dec 31.

The deadline is only applicable for people who file income tax returns and for non-income taxpayers the deadline has not been issued. Currently, Aadhar has also been mandatory for filing income tax returns.

Aadhar -Financial institutions -Dec 31 2017

As Per RBI all the customers who are having bank accounts must update their KYC and must submit Aadhar card and Pan card details in branches by Dec 31, 2017, and Aadhar has been mandatory to open new accounts from Jan 1, 2018

Similarly, Adahar linkage to other financial institutions such as credit cards, insurance policies, equity and mutual fund investments, small savings schemes like Public Provident Fund, Kisan Vikas Patra, National Savings Certificate, Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana and so on has also been Dec 31.

Aadhar-Direct benefit transfer Dec 31 2017

The government has ordered all the departments to ensure that direct benefit transfers would be available to beneficiaries who have linked Aadhar with the schemes before 31 Dec 2017 so that they don't lose benefits.
