Police department special facility to Prisoners

Mumbai, Nov 28: Video call with family members of prisoners ...The Maharashtra Government has given the opportunity to make a video call to family members to provide prisoners some pleasure in their prison life.

This was recently made possible as a result of the deaths of prisoner Manjula Sheteyi in the Baikula prison. She has been accused of being dead by the jail officials' harassment.

Speaking on this, IG Rajyavardhan Sinha stated that this facility was not available to underprivileged prisoners. He said this was an opportunity for the people sent to jails in remote areas such as Yerawada, Taloja and Aurangabad due to congestion in jails in the city.
