GES TO boost women Empowerment: NITI Aayog

Hyderabad Nov 28: Hyderabad city has geared up for the
Global Entrepreneurship Summit (GES) which would be Inaugurated on Tuesday.USA presidential advisor Advisor and American President Daughter Ivanka Trump would be attending the event.

The summit is jointly organized by US and India and NITI Aayog is supervising the event. Speaking to the media about the event NITI Aayog CEO Amitabh Kant has said that "The summit comes at a time when the government is working on several initiatives to empower women in India, such as Beti Bachao Beti Padhao and others. This summit will witness women taking center stage on all fronts, including panel discussions. This summit has a majority of women participation (52.5percent), with over ten countries being led by all-women delegation."

This is the 8 edition of the summit and it is the first time summit is being hosted for the first time in South East Asia ."This year's summit theme demonstrates the commitment of both Washington and New Delhi to empowering women in the belief that communities and countries thrive as a result" Amitab Kant has added.
