India tops in World Women Youth Boxing Championship; 5 gold medals

Women of India has made the country proud at World Women's Youth Boxing Championship with wining 5 gold medals.

After Nitu (48kg), Jyoti Gulia (51kg), Sakshi Choudhury (54kg) and Shashi Chopra (57kg) won gold medals in their respective categories at the AIBA World Women's Youth Boxing Championships in Guwahati, Ankushita Boro (64 kg) added one more gold medal to take India's tally to five.

Earlier, India has also won two bronze medals.

It was the biggest win for India with the country topping the World Women's Youth Boxing Championship.

It was Nitu who began the day successfully, she won 5-0 as she qualified for 2018 Youth Olympics.

Flyweight boxer Jyoti , surprised her opponent Ekaterina Molchonova of Russia in a 5-0 triumph.

Ankushita demolished Russia's Ekaterina Dynnik in a 5-0 victory in the light welterweight final.
