TPCC Chief alleged CM KCR betrayed Telangana students

Hyderabad, Nov 22: Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) president Capt N Uttam Kumar Reddy said that the state has become a reality due to the struggle and sacrifices of students and youth.

Addressing hundreds of artistes, students and youth who joined the Congress party on Wednesday in the presence of AICC Telangana Incharge Secretary R C Khuntia and AICC SC Cell chairman Koppula Raju, Mr Reddy said that lakhs of students have sacrificed their careers for the cause of statehood.

He also said Congress president Sonia Gandhi granted statehood for Telangana only due to the movement carried out by the students and youth. He said youth expected jobs and better opportunities in the new State.

However, he said TRS Government led by Chief Minister K Chandrashehkhar Rao has shattered all those dreams.

Khuntia, in his speech, accused KCR of betraying the students and youth of Telangana. He said both KCR and Prime Minister Narender Modi have failed to fulfill the aspirations of youth and they would voted out of power in next elections.

TPCC Working President Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka recalled the role played by the students of Osmania University in Telangana movement.

However, he alleged that the TRS Government has deprived Osmania University and all other universities of required funds and staff.
