2078 security personel to guard Hyderabad Metro Rail

Hyderabad Nov 22: Hyderabad People's dream project Metro rail is all set to be inaugurated by PM Modi on Nov 28 and currently security arrangements are being reviewed by top officials for the visit of Prime Minister and USA president daughter Ivanka Trump.

However the metro officials have revealed about the security personnel that would be needed for metro operations and they said that "2,078 police personnel, including home guards, private security guards will be required for the security of 72-km metro project".

HMR has said that "The Metro Security force will comprise one Deputy Commissioner of Police, one Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police, two Assistant Commissioner of Police and four Inspectors at the supervisory level."

"A main Metro security office will be established at Metro Rail Bhavan, besides two Metro Rail Police stations set up at Ameerpet and Parade Grounds interchange stations".Officials added.

HMR have added that "The Metro security force will be systematically strengthened over the next one year as a comprehensive and well-organised unit, which includes armed components as Quick Response Team (QRT), Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS), Dog Squad, etc."

The metro authorities have sent the proposal to the police department and the temporary approval would be granted in one or two days.
