MP Kavitha gets Ramdev baba support to set up National Turmeric Board

Hyderabad, Nov 22: Nizamabad MP K Kavitha has received support from Yoga Guru Baba Ramdev for the former's long pending demand of setting up a National Turmeric Board and best MSP (Minimum Support Price) for turmeric corp.

Baba Ramdev has written a letter to Prime Minister Modi in support of setting up the National Turmeric Board (NTB) and MSP, an official statement said here today.

Baba Ramdev in his letter to the PM describes how turmeric farmers will be benefitted and will get a relief from their worst condition and problems.

MP Kavitha, who represents Nizamabad Lok Sabha seat in Telangana, had recently met Ramdev during her visit to Haridwar and requested for letter of support to Prime Minister besides active intervention for the setting up of the Board for the welfare of turmeric farmers and also for the provision of a Minimum Support Price (MSP) to be given to turmeric crop.

She had also told Ramdev that turmeric farmers are in a very problematic condition for decades and are deprived of getting the right price of their crop.
