TS Govt releases Rs. 7.84 crore input subsidy for Kamareddy farmers

Kamareddy, Nov 22: Here is a good news to Kamareddy District farmers.

The Telangana State government has released Rs. 7.84 crore input subsidy to farmers of Kamareddy district whose crops were damaged due to hailstorms and heavy rains in March 2017.

Kamareddy Collector Satyanarayana on Tuesday said that the government released the subsidy for farmers of Yellareddy, Bhirkoor, Banswada, Bichkunda, Madnoor, Pitlam and Nizamsagar mandals.

Due to the heavy rain and hailstorm, crops were damaged over a large area and around 10,527 farmers lost their crops due to the rains.

The Collector ordered the Mandal Agriculture Officers to immediately credit these amounts to farmers' accounts online.
