Ivanka and PM Modi, CM KCR to share the dais at GES

Hyderabad, Nov 21: The Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Telangana chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao are going to share the dais with Ivanka Trump,US advisor and daughter of the United States president Donald Trump, at the Global Entrepreneurship Summit (GES) at Hyderabad next week.

While CM KCR will share the dais with Ivanka Trump and prime minister Narendra Modi during the inaugural session on November 28, industries minister KTR will be partaking a session with her the next day, said Telangana IT secretary Jayesh Ranjan.

The prime minister Narendra Modi will also interact with a few global business leaders including Cisco chairman John Chambers and Fairfax Financial founder chairman Prem Watsa, among others.

On the first day, November 28, chief minister KCR will deliver his inaugural address, followed by Ivanka Trump and Modi addressing the delegates, said the IT secretary.

Industries minister KTR will participate in a session on November 29, sharing the dais with Ivanka Trump, Cherie Blair, wife of former British prime minister Tony Blair, and ICICI Bank chief executive Chanda Kochhar.

Three hundred global venture funds, which includes 100 from India, will interact with 1,200 startups from across the country, which includes 400 from India, Rajan told journalists in Hyderabad on Monday.

Of the 1,200 delegates and 300 investors, approximately one third will be from the US, one third from India and the balance will be from around 150 countries from across the world, said Jayesh Ranjan.

At least 70 well-known speakers, mostly successful global entrepreneurs, will address delegates at 53 sessions spread across three days.

GES 2017 with the theme ‘Women First, Prosperity for All’ is being co-hosted by the United States and India at Hyderabad where Ivanka Trump will lead the US contingent.

The summit offers the entrepreneurs the opportunity for networking and mentoring, where they can pitch ideas, build partnerships and secure funding.
